I really like this Devina!
The lighting is good, and the coloring worked well. I think if it were me I might have cropped in slightly more at the bottom and left hand side, but that might just be me.

I personally like the grainy effect, which gives the shot an Antique look. I tried again to work on the grainy face and using filter/noise/dust and scratches got this effect. I messed up on the upper lip, sorry. I hope you don't mind, i like to practice on PS since i don't have a good grasp of it. Alison

Aw, I feel special that you spent time on my photo. =)
Looks similar to what I tried to do when I began photoshopping it. I liked how you made my lips pop out of the pic. I guess the drawback to adding light, is the added noise. I had tried something very similar when I made the whole picture golden…which was a way to brighten the photo (in a way that won’t bring too much noise), and also make the lips the focus of the photo.

I took the liberty of working on this photo even though i really like the way you have posted it. I went to levels and lightened it a bit and then selected the face to take color out of it and added color to the lips. what do you think. ?

Very sharp details and a lot of contrast on this sepia like monochrome, Devina. The light seems to flash upon some of its parts, which makes the surroundings also feelable. But most of all it is age what it conveys to me. The many things that happened to and around the tree while the time was rolling on until it got to this size.
Very glad to see something natural in other than the usual "explosive" colors!
