Such rich, deep colors -- and as usual for you, incredible detail.

Almost looks like it is stretching with a yawn. I like your title. Pretty lily but I find the light round fluffy-looking shape right in front of the direction it is facing on the right side of the pic distracting. It is just bright enough to compete for my eye and I can't quite make out what it is so it is disconcerting in an otherwise lovely scene. (I'm sure its just me ...)

Looks like a very interesting place to photograph ruins. The birds add life and I like the one in the foreground with its tail fanned and beak ready to catch something out of that breaker. Nice!

Looks like other bugs chewed on it before he got there. I love the colors of light on the wings and the shallow DOF is nice too.

Nice positioning of good subject. I like your handling of the border too.

Thanks Deb -- It is not a far stretch because everyone tries things in B&W and sepia tones but it seemed to make "weeds" special somehow Thanks for your responsive reply to my pic.

Wonderful range of tones and I love the strands of hair flying out in front and catching the sun. Such an innocent joyful smile! The colored version is full of charm and feels more "floral" -- like a rose.

YES, Don -- I had a cropped version in front of me and liked it too -- but thought the composition might be slightly better with the one I posted -- maybe not. Here it is -- what do you think? It is so hard to edit "good stuff" out, isn't it? Thanks for your comment and suggestion!

You're right, Don! Butterfly weed is what some call it. Want some?? These spout and grow real easily ALL OVER the place.

EXHUBERANCE -- such zest for living it seems. The combination of water and sillouettes of children dancing through is fantastic!

STRIKING image, Paul. So dramatic how all the colors accent each other and then swirl together. I love the watery reflections and your composition is also very strong.

And thanks for your enthusiastic comment on my 2 by 2 pic.

The soft colors are nice, I think. I love the stamens -- look like a sort of fountain -- and the shadow of one of them is lovely too.

Interesting pic and the title fits. This bird has made a great home in a very temporary place . . . I hope there will be caring people to wait and watch for the youngsters to fledge. A special moment of faith and hope . . . thanks for sharing it!

I really like this one for the vibrant colors and repetition with slight variation. Excellent softening of the greens but they still provide the contrasting colors. (Sorry - no song either but your pic does inspire one.)
