George, this is a great shot both of poeple and effect with the play off the glass. As for the composition, the photo would get to the next level if you could see all of the doors and maybe a little of the ground to see the connection of their images to 'the street'. Nonetheless a great capture. And thanks for the comments to me. ab

hey chad - i like the simplicity of the colors (greens, white and shadows). i think a simple frame would set it off nicely. and don't be afraid to get out your clippers next time to cut what you don't want out. it's easier than the clone tool in PS, as it is it's just clover and i'm trying to get rid of a ton of it im my own yard. i like it. ab

Hansel and Gretel's path wasn't so obvious but their forest was probably as moody. This image pulls my imagination into it.

Chris - how did you get the duck to complete your triangle?! he must be well trained.
I really like the compsition (chairs-valley-duck) and how the eye is kept moving. I only wish there were more shoulders (wider angle) and with that more sky. And the colors are nice and cool accentuated by the red. nice going.

Micheal, I hope I'm not being pesky, nor do I wish to ruin your beautiful photo.
However, I was intrigued by your posts w/Carston re: PS and how much is too much, along w/ what it can and can't do for a photo. My question is what did the original of 'Union Station' look like and how much PS did you use to get the final result? Also, any tips on PS learning resourses?
With regards to your photo I really liked this one and took the liberty of experimenting in PS with it. I'm not sure I really like this over the original but would like your thoughts.
Regards and good hunting (photos). ab

micheal - thanks for the thoughts. the photo is the original color shot i took one late night at the office, and no PS was done to it. below is a quick study having rotated it to near vertical and giving it more contrast/less brightness. the original shows all of the subject matter and trying to move the verticals to 1/3 or 1/4 removes (i believe) too much of it. but i do agree that more attention paid to the proportion would produce a more settled image.
again, thanks ab

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Peter, maybe it is a little to bright however, I was going for exageration in color and dof. The color of these azaleas are pretty intense to begin with. Please keep enjoying, I do enjoy yours. thanks again ab

Lara, i love how you saw this hint of eros in the original and turned it the seductive picture it is now. I'd have to say you had intimate knowledge of sorts it is definately better w/o the color.
