Thank you everyone!!
Cameny, no the rose wasn't growing there originally. I'm taking a photo course and one of our lessons was to illustrate a concept. I decided after we had 3 snow storms in one week, and since I couldn't get out to do much, to make the most of it. So I took one of my roses from inside and placed it in the snow facing away from the sunset This was taken back in January.
Rob, thank you for commenting I was out today at the Irishtown park to see what I could find (hoping to find some skiers, to no avail), however the chickadees were around. I took a few shots of them. Hopefully got some good ones. They are very hard to capture. They don't stay still for very long *S*.

Thanks again everyone!! Much appreciated!
The 'blue' on the rocks is really on the slide. No photoshop other than sharpening and tweaking to get it to match the slide, and of course the framing.
I was looking back on my notes I kept on exposures for our trip to New Hampshire (I was playing around with different ones for different results) and I actually shot this one 1 stop underexposed. This may account for the stronger 'blue' on the rocks, not to mention the deep shady location, the Kodak slide film, and polorizer. I've now added exposurer information on the image which I had forgotten about.

Wow! Thank you everyone!!! I woke up this morning to find a hugh amount of comments and BIP! I am truly honored
Hi David, Yes the 'blue' on the rocks seem to come from adding the polarizer. The rocks were in strong shade and the trees reflecting were in strong sunlight late in the day. The rocks were already a grey-blue colour, but by adding the polarizer, seem to make the 'blue' leap out as well as the rest of the colours. Not to mention I was using Kodak E100VS slide film which accentuates all colours. Hope that helps

Thank you Larry and Pat! Much appreciated
Thank you M.M!! Those colours are pretty accurate to the original. I had to tweak it a bit to get it to match after scanning, as scanning seems to dull the original colours somewhat (as you probably already know). I use slide film and I prefer Kodak E100VS (VS stands for vivid saturation) and Fuji Velvia. Both slide films are very 'colourful' for nature. I also used a polarizor and warming filter which brought out the colours more and cut down on glare. Hope this helps
