No just a bit more on the righ and upper side (1 or 2 cm). I tried the same crop you made, but eventually I liked this one better. Thank you for your effort.

Ron: how would you crop it? Could you please upload your version/crop of this photo?
Thank you all for your comments and grades.

Ups, I posted a 1024 pixels wide image, so it was resized to 800 and lost some sharpness and details - well I'll keep in mind for next time to resize to 800 before posting. Tnx for your comment AAT SA

Ooops, my mistake, I used 75-300 usm. For that pic I used aproximately 75-100 mm, I was approximately 1,2 m away from the lion. Lately I use my 50 all the time (because I haven't been in the ZOO for a while and 50 is so much better for portraits, which I mostly do besides exotic animals in the ZOO) , so write 50 out of habbit .

Great idea, nice portrait with nice dof. Only thing that bothers me is the crop on the left. I think photo should be cropped exactly in the middle of her face (so you would get an exact half on the photo). You can try also cropping more on the right and bottom side, because in that case the wiever would be more concentrated on her face. I'd add a bit of USM, but that's just my taste for sharpness.

Antonio, thank you for your in depth comment. I agree with you completely, the arm bothers me too, but I couldn't do (or didn't know how to) anything about it. Crop would spoil the photo in my opinion, cloning off the arm also wouldn't work... If you have any suggetions how to "repair" this flaw, please let me know (or anyone else ).

Nice crop and dof, i like the pose. Maybe u should try adding a bit more contrast and/or saturation.

Very contrasty (did I say it right?), I really like this kind of photos. Expression is pretty good too.

Btw, you really have a great camera, I just think a good prime lens would make your shots even better, because a cheap lens on a state of the art camera really does't work .

I think it's excellent, however I think it would be better in horisontal format, so you wouldn't cut off her arms. And a bit more sharpness is needed. A bit overexposed at some parts. But the message is clear and I really support your work, very well done!

Great contrast and composition (of the diagonal shades too). Could be a bit sharper.

A part of the flower (or whatever it is) in the front bothers (and the shade that it makes on the cameleon), otherwise a good shot. I think a dose of USM would hurt .
