Hi Maureen, Good capture, but I'd love to see a bit more action in it, for instance during the swing. Much more challenging to capture, but also much more appealing to look at.

If you're looking for indepth critiques by putting this in the CC area, I think at least filling in camera model, lens and such would help in assessing the photo. If possible, camera settings (EV-balance, Aperture and shutterspeed) generally also help.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Maureen, thanks for uploading a bigger version. It shows much more of the quality of the photo. Very well captured, nice and crisp tones, and a very good level of details. I also like the contrast in it, but I would opt for a slightly increased mid tone range.

I also like this alternative crop, allowing more room on top. I think it's more balanced, and provides a better overall feel of the image. I would only consider cropping the bottom part, to roughly match the bottom edge of the original post, if you see what I mean. It would remove the black dirt spot in the lower left corner, making it really tick.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Maureen, Good composition and overal tonality. the diagonal works well, yet the image is way too small to say anything about the image itself...

Cheers,

Hugo

Looks like the camera was pushed to the limit by pointing it at the bright sky.

It is really interesting that you mentioned seriousness, it seems that people didn't smile or cautiuosly smiled to the camera during that time, magical image!

Many thanks Den and Anthony...it was the bus which carried my Grandson and guests to his wedding !!!and I can see what you mean Anthony on Hulleys - perhaps the same model which they are now using for novel trips, certainly was a bumpy ride!!

Very interesting about as well as photo, such a shame it is so small, because it looks as though it was very good detail and colour/tones
