Mary,
I should also tell you a little bit about this picture. It is quite scenic for certain but this is in Newfoundland! The beach is not sand but is hand sized smooth beach rocks. The ocean is the North Atlantic so even though it was a beautiful sunny day it wasn't as warm as it looks. And no one goes swimming! And you don't want to know about the 7km dirt road full of potholes nor the flies! Photos can be a bit deceiving (lol).

Thanks Cassia. My home province of Newfoundland Canada has many picturesque fishing villages such as this one. I must make a full blown photo vacation there someday.

Mary,
Thanks for all the lovely comments. I'd reply to each individually but that would take some time! If I can recall a few things you said, first about being Mr. Travelling man. Well that trip was quite a few years ago. I have been going through old albums and picking some of my favorite past shots. When you think these shots are over 15 years apn it's not all that much travelling. I think I've posted enough old stuff now to start my portfolio. Time to take some new pics! I have looked through most of your pictures and find I like them very very much but I don't any constructive words. I feel like my photos are not quite creative enough to compare with work like yours. But maybe my new stuff will be more inspired (whenever I get any)!

Hi Margaret. Well people think of it as an extreme sport but it actually is very peaceful. But don't you like the colours and the perspective of the farmland? When I saw the project "Below your feet" I couldn't resist posting this one.

Thanks Chris. That was several years ago and I haven't done any hang gliding in over two years. Lot's of fun and an awesome view. There are some great photos and videos taken from hang gliders, often with fish eye lenses for great effects. Some even attach in flight adjustable booms for photos from different perspectives.

I like it a lot. Lots of lightning but it works for me. You're obviously going for that classic 'B' horror movie look (I hope). I can almost hear the music.

Thanks Kevin. I'm brand new to UF and really I'm just posting some older vacation shots that I like for the time being. I'll know in the future to use the filter and to take a second shot without the person! Unfortunately I won't be back to the Rockies for a while. I have a few others from that trip that I am working on which may come out a little better. Cheers.

Lovely Scene Kevin. Great colour and definition way back to the peaks. Super. I have a whole series of photos in the Canadian Rockies from years back (I just posted one). I wish I had known to use a polarizer.
