I'm as shocked as you Vanessa at how long it's been.

Never thought I would favour more contrast and sharpness in a photo than you dear JD... but it seems I now do! :)
It's a very eye catching image, no doubt because of the contrast of the bare head of the child against the veiled heads of the women has something to do with that.

Nice photo Tony, it would perhaps have had a stronger impact with a more out of focus background.

I understand your anger JD, and yes it has felt this last few days like it was back on webphotoforum.
I thought it must be my computer until I read the comments here, though my Internet security was telling me there was a threat on this site.
All very disappointing as I have only just returned after a long absence!

Hi Nessa,
Yes we have lakes.....three of them just a twenty minute drive from our home, they are the most amazing colour of blue... and people can swim and kayak in them too!
It is a wonderful and very beautiful place to live, we can't imagine ever leaving here or living in England again.
Hope you and your family are all well...I've missed you!

Yes I'm alive and very much enjoying my life here in Spain, it's all I hoped it would be and more, I adore Andalucia!
It's not often I post here now, I have to re-size everything specially to upload here and it annoys me, other places take larger file sizes.

A simply stunning portrait JD,the light is magical. Textures and detail are excellent, I feel like I could touch the satin of her dress.
The best thing of all though is the look you captured...it's like looking right into her soul !

What a truly wonderful place this must be!
I love the perspective and the light that shines through the darkness,I could very much enjoy walking there alone too!
I can understand you feeling relaxed there JD, there is a feeling of tranquility come from the image, a spirituality and timelessness that is very comforting.
