Great shot. I used to have a pet rat, so I know they don't sit still for very long, but you've captured this little guy perfectly. 7/7

Thank you for your comment Terry. Yes, my daughter is small for her age and the cat is huge, so they are about the same size. :-)

I wish I could get a picture this clear of the deer we have around here. Good job, especially considering you probably didn't have long to compose and shoot this one. Personally, I would have liked a slightly broader DOF. 6/7

As the mother of this sweet little girl, this is one of my favorite pictures of her...eventhough she wasn't nearly as happy as she looks in the picture. haha The DOF is perfect, as well as the lighting. I love it. :-)

That is the cutest little puppy! Great positioning so you have the bride in the background. DOF is perfect. 7/7

Very cool. I love the angle and the sepia/b&w tone. And the border adds a lot. 7/7

Thanks Steve. I figured since we're taking this photography class and I actually know what aperture and shutter speed are now I should post it. Haha Plus now I finally have a camera that will let me set it myself. :-)

Thank you so much Brigitte! For her patience, we played outside together as long as she wanted. :-)
I really love my new camera! I've just started a photography class so I'm learning how to use all the controls on the camera and felt it was time to upgrade from my point-and-shoot I've always had. The live view is really nice. From what I've heard, the XSi is definitely worth upgrading to.

Very nice portrait. You really captured the emotion well. Somehow, the border being a little off center is a bit distrating for me. It doesn't quite seem to suit the picture. Other than that, I love it!

Wow, those birds look HUGE! The horizon is a bit crooked, which is slighty distracting. (I had the same problem with a beach shot of my husband and daughter.), but overall a great capture.
