Thanx for your kind comments on my images Vernon. I just love macro and modern technology (i.e., digital - which is what I was weaned on) seems to make it easier to do than ever before.

Hi Subha, The canon 20d with the mpe-65mm and a mt24ex flash is a dream come true. Best, Mark Ps. I still enjoy your audio CD.

Hi Benedict, Thanx for the kind words. The critter was peched outdoors and untouched by me. It was a cooperative midel though. I should also note that the image is a composite of two taken in succession with the goal of increasin the DOF at this high magnication. Best, Mark www.mplonsky.com/photo

Thanx for your comments on my images. I use extension tubes, teleconverters and diopters to get more magnification out of the canon 100mm macro that it will give normally. Best, Mark

Thanx Lori. In my neck of the woods (WI, USA), mosquitoes are a fact of life. When they get real bad, I use deet (which is not good for the rubber on cameras).

Thank you Mehdi. Well, I held the camera awkwardly, although I am somewhat ambidextrous which helped. Also, the light weight of the 20D, fact that the tripod ring was removed, and use of the mr-14ex ringflash (which I barrowed from a friend for a week) all contributed to being able to pull it off. Thanx for commenting.
