Hi Harry,

I am using Nikon TC-14E II teleconverter for my 500mm f/4 Lens. It provides me 40% more of focal length and suits very much for my wildlife shooting. Aperture would be one stop smaller. The auto focus still works and doesn't feel the slow down of focus speed. I am satisfied with the picture quality so far. This extender attached to my Lens all the times now without taking out.

I am not sure whether it performs the same on 105mm VRII and but should be similar. I would suggest you to check with dealer see if auto focus would still work after extender installed.

Best regards,
Eric

Hi Rashed Abdulla,

None of the reasons you mentioned, it should be the natural blur effect when big aperture was used.

I am glad to learn that the above work has been given "Staff's Choice Award". It is certainly a very strong driving force for me to work harder on photography. Many thanks.

Hi Steve, thank you for viewing my work and the kind comment. I would agree that works from some photographers might have been cosmeticized before post. I still at this moment would like to stick to the original scene. I always feel that photography is to reflect the truth of images, but using different kinds of photographic techniques including lighting, angles, construction would present the photographer's own feel and view.

Hi Bikash, thank you for viewing. I am not ornithologist, but I am interested in wild birds so I started to shoot bird photos. The above bird is Grey Heron. Birds are migrating from one place to another every year due to weather. Hong Kong is falling in one of the migrating routes of birds. Grey Heron is one of the kinds.

Hi,

Thank you for your comment.
Nikon D700 is a good camera for both amateur or professional. With regard to macro, it is the lens to be used.

Hi Ernie, thank you for your comment. It's a matter of fact that the photo has not been photoshopped. I only used the NX2 software to crop the size of photo (focus only the butterfly) in order to cope with the publish size in this website.
