great lighting capture, well composed with empty space and what a day at the farm!

great capture. movement. a perfect moment and even well composed.

very nice B&W. I like the white row boat, I like the setting, but there are too many elements fighting for attention. the fishing boat partially visible is a distraction, so ultimately nothing settles the eye.

looks like an old fashioned etching where the colors are all wrong. Makes me look at it a couple three times.

i like what you have created here. the background - the lighting from above - the focus. nice!

wow what a shot. almost unreal. is it?

love your portfolio. almost a nostalgic feeling to many of the shots. the cats above are perfectly framed. maybe I'll start liking cat pictures.

it's high comedy and highly unusual. love the lighting on the feathers. lucky you

I love the dynamics of this shot and the texture of the flower perfectly captured by the light. very nice.

actually, the deception lasts a few more seconds when you're off center. and they're harder to make. I'll show you some variations later.

I like this picture. but i think tighter cropping to only deal with sculpture is cleaner.

striking visual immage, no matter what angle you show it. Personally, I like upside down.

I love the texture you got in this photo. Compositionally, maybe dont have it so centered. but really great drity wet painterly layered look.

Now that's stunning! I like this a lot. It's the dead tree that transcends it from a pretty picture; not that there's anything wrong with a pretty picture.

I think this is strong image than the moon in bg. I think it has a lot of "action" for a still car.

...and thank for your comment about the observer. that person in the picture is "the subject" and without a subject, i don't know what's left, a blue garbage can. besides, this is my daughter your talking about, and my wife was plenty mad that I stuck her in a warehouse while I took the picture.

Nice perspective.

Love your self potrait. Most impressive one of all the members photos. Congratulations. and thanks for your comments. As you can see, I haven't posted my picture from lack of inspiration. Your is certainly inspired.

great idea and well executed. I especially like the heavy sepia tone. very gritty.

great subject and mood. love the darkness and starkness. but could be improved either by trimming top or revealing something more at top; i think trimming slightly top would improve

very vibrant shot of the grasslands. gives me a good feeling, and to imagine it at such an altitude. the clouds work well, althought not totally believable with the halo effect.

this is like a graphic painting. superb. Only improvement I can think of is to tighten it up on the subject a bit.

beautful capture, as are so many of your submissions. If you wanted to improve in photoshop, blur the background for more dramatic effect.

I love the effect you achieved. and the black bldg looks so ominous and other worldly, without the picture seeming to be a trick. at first I thought this was a negative/positive montage, but its IR

This is the Great Egret in the Heron family. Thanks for pointing that out. This was shot near the ocean in a lagoon bordered by houses and apartments. It's also close to the disappearing marshes of the Play Vista project.

no tripod. i think i used a table to support the camera. As far as the geometry of that sail, i think i shoot too many shots without people. I'd love to get more subjects going. ps I thought you were going to do a different version of that coffee shop on the pier (i rested that shot on a railing post)
