Thanks. It was a cedar branch floating under the water at our cottage this past weekend. The edges are just breaking through at the top right hand corner.

Thanks for your comments. She had just finished drinking from her water bowl making her nose soaked. That's why it doesn't appear dry but actually is in focus. Unfortunately the chair was stuck under her front armpit so there was no way her ears could be in focus and not the chair. She's a huge dog and if I wanted all of her in focus I had to use an area focus not single.

Hi David. Where in TO was this photo taken? I used to live in TO a few years ago. The photo is great. Nice job cropping and the title could not have been more aptly chosen. It accurately reflects the coldness and the technical element.

Fantastic Macro. The Textures are incredible this close up! The center of the sun flower really looks burned and the light shining through the petal gives the illusion of the sun's rays. Very nice job and great title.

Very touching photograph, especailly to a dog lover like myself. The black and White was an excellent choice and it is wonderful to see that someone puts enough emphasis on the value of a dogs life to do this for him.

Very cute. I love it. Good title as well.
The B/W makes the photo more effective because you focus on the dog and are not distracted by the toy or bed.
