The exposure and lighting are AMAZING in this photo! The stem lurking in the shadows and the breath-taking beauty of the flower make for such a sharp contrast! It seems to be alive, like the petals are embracing the center of the flower!
Added to my favorites for sure. Well deserved award.

For sure, amongst the best pictures I have come across Faisal! I wont get to commenting on the technical aspects, as I am completely floored by the emotional content! I agree with Maxime, that the portrait talks for all alone - the eyes, the hollow smile, the ageing skin, everything! I am reminded of my granny in many ways, I love this image all the more because of that!
