Your details are a bit overburned/pixelated bit still the DoF is great, Peter! And the main colors here, blue and green, are indeed very very... fresh - if I may use that word. They realy invite for a closer look.

You have many leading lines here, the road, the fence, etc, that nonetheless do converge to the depth, though in a somewhat "uneasy" way. They disturb the absolute hint to a direction but at the end they do meet at the horizon and so the image wins some more depth. Perhaps allowing abit more of the water to be visible could have contributed to the overall impression of depth and distance - I can't really say, but I guess so.

Cheers,

Nick

Nice image. I eagerly await the appearance of "snowdrops" each spring (actually late winter here). The first signs that the nasty debilitating cold is about to diappear.

Beautiful compositon Peter. On my monitor the sky looks a little too purple. If you could make it look more like a natural it would help immeensely. Still, the composition is excellent.

A superb sharpness and details on the bird, Peter, and a great coloring of the very nicely composed image that catches all those subtle tones!

It must have been a hard work to turn only the background to B&W this fantastic way! The contours of the bird remained completely intact, as it really seems to pop out of the photo!

Best wishes!

Nick

Exactly the same goes for me too, Peter. Still I hope to become a... somewhat more advanced beginner some day.

One of the greatest skies I have ever seen on a photo, Peter! And also the composition is quite nice, though I would choose a bit greater distance to the water (perhaps by zooming out) for adding a bit more of the land on the sides of the image. it looks a bit to little to me. The hills at the background have focus problems - or is it the haze? Anyway, it makes it looking like a photo montage as the sharpness and clarity of contours of the sky and that of the hills are so far from each other! Any chances to tell us your settings?

Keep it up and best wishes,

Nick

Beautiful picture Peter but I think I would rather have a room view than an underground view but it is very peaceful.
