Colin, i love what you did to this photo---it couldn't possibly have been half as atmospheric in color! Such a mood! Great composition, too.
I'm really getting into b&w and sepia photos now...soon I'll begin posting again. Have you ever tried using a holga (toy) camera? something to look into, you might like it.

Is it just me, or does the above comment from Carole have nothing to do with the image? Maybe some comments were deleted.
This image is well-done technically. I thought there was a ghost image of a dog in there, but I'm probably just seeing things....

I missed this one - am not sure about smashing the glass! Have missed you two! on holidays??? If you've got 10,000 - you better post some photos soon - we only have a few flocks scattered here and there - and they are all refugees from your neck of the woods or escaped/let loose from cages! I know - once upon a time I had two myself - couldn't stand the noise let alone the complaints from neighbours!

Colin, I like the rich black background and I think the picture is very well thought out. If I may make a suggestion: Smash the glass. I would like to see more of these.

i like the light that gives a special mood to this picture .. looks very peacefull, thank you for you comments on my latest picture "the gate to dreamland", the dreamy effect i created is from running the picture true Neat Image, a little (partly)freeware program you can find at www.neatimage.com (just in case you don't know it already :-)
