Very surreal. Makes me yearn for dentures. Ok, maybe not. But it's a great photograph nonetheless. Keep up the good work.

A little creepy yes, but I can't say it's not the result of an original idea for a pic. Imagination is always something I value a lot.
Well done, Nigel!!!!

Nigel, creepy little image you have here, but boy do I like it. It's a little bit out there and odd and extremely interesting to look at, certainly not a traditional macro shot. Great depth and composition.

A very interesting perspective, I really like the effect and view. The gates give the photo strong lines of direction. Well done.

Nigel, really a challenging and fantastic idea!
I tried to split the image into 4 originals... now I am asking myself: where? at what time? which season? how?

What a pair of eyes you have

Thanks, coskun. I actually used the super macro function on my fujifilm finepix s7000 to get that shot.

Nigel, very nice macro... especially because of its mono color.
I wonder how did you manage that very narrow DOF?
Have you used an inversely mounted lens?

I would see this as the cover of an Horror movie about a Possed Tree. As a lot of mood.

great shot. the tones are beautiful here and the shadows look excellent. the blurring of the top branches is a little offputting however, would be better if it was all in focus i think.

Hi Nigel
Fooling around with the camera is great fun and when you get nice images like this one, it is also rewarding. The idea of capturing reflections in this way is cool! The subbject is beautiful for an abstract.
Great B&W
Well done!

Lovely image! Excellent tones, beautiful reflections. I did a similiar shot of reflections in my birdbath, never posted it. It was no where near as pretty as this!

I love how you've made the texture of the grass stand out against the solid mass of the shadow. It creates a tension and drama that adds to that generated by the distortion of the shadow, and the sense of movement in it's shape.
