Even though this is just a bit soft you have made a very pleasing image that reminds me of a Japanese Haiku. There is such a timeless feel to this shot. It has to be one of my all time favorite bird images. Congratulations on a job well done and thanks for sharing.

ottima la composizione, i colori sono forse addirittura troppo saturi, hai gli alberi in ombra e le nuvole bianco bruciato, forse era uno di quei casi che il polarizzatore non è il caso di regolare sul "massimo" del contrasto

Excellent work Tim, I find this to be very pleasing. The distribution of focus area is perfect in my eyes, nicely split between the flower and bee. The green sets off the background nicely as well,

Congrats on the new D SLR! Now you have to get out of the film shooting mode where you hesitate to shoot, because you know each click of the shutter costs money. I know I used to think that way when I shot film and many others do too. Just remember that the more you shoot the more you have to choose from! And if you don't like them, you can just delete them with nothing lost.
As for this image, it is beautiful, the colors in the valley are beautiful and the texture of the hills are gorgeous.
As for not having many comments, I really can't explain that, as this image is exceptional from my POV.

As I am looking through your portfolio, I see these brilliant colors and treescapes. Very pleasing to the eye they are! The colors are absolutely gorgeous, I am thinking that the useage of the velvia has something to do with the brilliant colors you have achieved in this image! Gorgeous! Glad you posted it! I don't get to see the change of seasons living here, so I have to live through others!
