Was going through my collection and came across these photos that I purchased from you in 1991-92 through Jayne Mansfield's fan club, Simply Divoon!I remember that at the same time Siouxsie & The Banshees released a single called, "Kiss Them For Me" about Jayne! Was born in 1965, so I missed her heyday so to speak. Jayne was in Germany shortly before she died playing for troops in a club and my uncle was stationed there! Have 1 pic and Jayne is sitting in his lap, and I have 1 he took. I grew up with these photos. it's like they are part of me. Was always a Siouxsie & The Banshees fan all through the 80's and in 1991 they released an album called Superstition based around Mansfield and the song "Kiss Them For Me". A friend got me the info on her fan club Simply Divoon and I joined. It just kinda happened that the album was released as I got the photos you took Bill. Fantastic, I love them all. They were well worth it and glad I still have them very much! Great work you did! Also remember taping something off of Extra, or ET with The Banshees video for "Kiss Them For Me", and Jayne is at the beginning as the song is playing. The actual video release does not have Jane in it! Superstition is well worth it for the song:
"On The Road To New Orleans- A Spray Of Stars Hit The Screen- As The tenh Impact Shimmered The Forbidden Candles Gleamed Oh Oh"- Nothing Or No one Will Ever Make Me let You Down- Kiss Them For Me- I may Find Myself Delayed". If you are a Jayne fan get this album! There is a Snapper mix and Jayne is featured on it, in the beginning and the middle of the mix! Love the pics Bill, RIP.

I've enjoyed looking at this photo, and I like the fact that it is largely white and blue (clean and simple) - but I think the frame detracts from, rather than enhances the image.

Great portrait Bill. I like the intensity of the expression and the fine skin details and tone. The greay in the background is a bit distracting though - kind of divide the image in a light left and dark right halve. Exellnt wotrk though. Regrds.

'Mystery women' behind veils have almost become a cliche of photography today, but this rises above it. The clothing texture is clear and the eyes (invariably the focus of this 'genre') carry real power.
