I took it over a stream of water. For some reason there was an old wood board stuck between the stones and for some other reason the leaves were stuck to the board. So no glue was used! ;) I'm not sure about the shutter, looks like 1/30 but I think I remember it was a couple of seconds actually. Thank you for your unexpected comments!

What an abstract! Everything seems to be inside the contours of running water, adding movement to the still of the scene. May I ask how you accomplished that, martin?

Best wishes,

Nick

Great contrast, clear contures, remarkable texture! Without that plant and stone in the middle it would be surely a very usual picture, while now the rapture of the contour lines makes it really "uncomfortable" in the good sense of the word, as the sand "waves" seem to engulf the object of interest. Very very well seen and done!

Except of the somewhat out of focus bottom part of the tree, an impressive image in details, coloring and angle! Perhaps also the loss of focus at the bottom of the tree adds more to the perspective - I am not sure. But the upper part, the almost infinite many branches so sharply captured in front of the wonderfully colored sky, they are a magnet for my eyes.

A very nice composition! Keep it up!

great idea, the texture of the tree and the saw are really simular. Great depth and colors. the background is great with the blue/black. And the unusual viewing of a saw hand in hand with a tree. A friendship between enemies. Well done

Excellent shot of this frosty winter scene, Martin! I like the snow beside the open water shots, and this is a good one. You've got very good detail in the snow and in the water.
