Not sure if its on the glass you were shooting through or on your sensor, but the spots on the photo are a bit distracting. Maybe the sensor on your camera needs a cleaning.
I think the photo is not bad, but i think your timing was off a little bit, shoot when the sun isnt in front of you and i think the results could be a lot better.

interesting tradition here in china. i've never actually seen cricket fighting, never even heard of it actually. maybe i ought to visit shanghai again to check it out.

i also visited the panda reserve in chengdu this summer. not easy to shoot a good photo of the panda, they dont move too much and dont spend a lot of time outside, and usually a big crowd of people there to take photos also.

nice colour here. too bad it wasnt a bit sunnier outside, i think the colours would be a lot nicer. i was in chengdu this summer but never had a chance to see these pools. its part of jiuzhaigou isnt it?
