Interesting find, a remnant from the 60s-70s, no doubt.

I've done a few senior portraits, but I haven't made money off of it. I would like too though so I guess, I would say that I am trying to get into the business.

Nice abstract! that is a really cool idea, and I like the way you're not only doing portraits all the time anymore.

very nice work here. the depth of field and near focus work great. i like the addition of the color hues in this situation, it really alters and changes the image and the emotional feel a lot. very abstract sense to this, nice. reading your intro info, i'd say digital is definately here to stay, i think it'd be ignorant to think it won't. if anything is going out its film, which unfortunately is what i love to shoot. i also enjoy digital and feel there are advantages, but i think for me using film, being a part of the whole process, from the camera to the darkroom is much more interesting than plugging the flashcard into the usb and clicking a mouse. digital has come a long way, but when printing large and when especially with black and white, digital still cannot match the textures and continuous tones of film. sorry for the spiel, just some opinions on a big topic of today. nice work here though.

I really appreciate all of the positive feedback! I know that this isn't an original idea, but what in the world doesn't have a picture of it... and at every weird angle one can think of. This is a Bennit guitar, a brand that is inexpensive but has good tone. I am still teaching myself how to play, but I am coming along. Just like I am teaching myself photography again (I took Photography in High School), and I hope I am coming along!

Hadn't you said it is a guitar, I would be still wondering. That's what an unusual angle gratifies the photographer with. Very original shot.

I love the DOF here. Very well done. The lines of the strings are a wonderful lead for the eye. Well done on this shot! You have a great eye for details.

ok, this is a well taken shot, but do something to make it less cliche, how about set up the shot on a tripod so it looks like this, but just before the exposure, strum a string or two so that we see some vibration! That might be a neat effect, to show sound. We see a guitar, now make us hear part of it wioth our eyes.
