I recieved your reply to my comment even though it does not seem to be showing up here. As you have this in your living room and see it all the time, we'll just have to change the idea of that piece of rock. How about a diffferent way of looking at it? I can see it as an angel watching over those who go through this passage. The angel's presence is just barely visible so as to not interfere with the view or voyage. So, moving from the foreground into the open water, one just needs to glance at the protecting angel, smile and move on. That way, it is not a distraction at all, but a comforting feeling. I hope this might help and I hope it does not sound silly.

Thanks for all the comments.
Mary - You have some very creative shots in your portfolio, far too many to comment on, I could be there all day!
Hugo - You are very right, there is dirt on my CCD, I seem to be plauged by it at the moment

I really like when an image becomes graphic. This one does with its symmetry and boldness- great job!

Hi Bryan,

I like the solitary tree in the middle of the field, flanked by the two hills. A nice touch of symmetry, yet the centered composition also renders the photo a bit static. Good DOF, and very nice tones. It looks like you have a little dust speck on your CCD in the lower right corner you might want to take care of.

A very nice photo...

Cheers,

Hugo

This reminds me of children skipping rope. Oh, that might sound wierd, but the tree in that line of the ground resembles that, for me anyway. This is a creative angle from which to take this shot. It is quite pretty.

What a beautiful spot. It sure does look tempting to just jump right in. The colours in the water are enchanting. I really like your composition as it invites us to journey from the forground all the way to the horizon. The only rhing I might suggest, I hope you don't mind, is that the small patch of rock on the middle right be removed. For me, as my eye is enjoying the line from front to back, it gets drawn to that piece of rock which, for me interupts the lovely flow of your pretty shot.
