Personally I don't see much effort on the photographer's part in creating this image. It is a snap-shot. The lack of control over the exposure is evident. The image is too contrasty almost like a lithograph and shows no skill in dealing with white on white subjects. There is nothing showing the texture of the snow or sparky reflections, instead to me it looks like "Photoshop to the rescue". I start doubting that the editors who were involved in selecting this image have very extensive photography background. Honestly i have seen today images on UF with much more difficulty level than this one. In my humble opinion. An average I would say.

Hi Mireille. I love the atmosphere of this photo, its emotive contrast. I think to see a nice perspective.
Mireille, for one year I have seen and commented only floral pictures but now I begin to miss the different and beautiful pictures in UF toghether with the sharing with the friends here. So I will post again some photos. I'll look at your images that I have not seen jet.

What a beautiful image Mireille! This vision I have when I dream of Africa. Splendid the moment stopped and the atmosphere in the contrast between the peace in the earth and the drama in the sky. Your clouds fly always more low!

Simple and direct... and you live in one of the smallest countries in the world!!! I love ya already... just for that!!!! Just a suggestion... if ya crop this so the lower bit, the grass part, is smaller and equal to the upper part....
if ya cut some of the lower grass off.... a brilliant panoramic snap.
Just a suggestion... and still saying... the color and feeling is dead on!

I would crop off the top half--the bright part--and stick with the subtler tones in the lower part.
