Hi JD....I've missed you!

Yes I've been enjoying the new house and getting to know the area a little better.
I don't know how I ever found the time to work, time here is going so fast that there just aren't enough hours in a day!
If you want to catch up with my photo's I'm here most of the time... http://www.fotothing.com/megmet/

Hope you are keeping well my friend, I will email you again soon.

Meg. xx

I have to disagree with some of the comments here! I feel the shot is perfect as it is, it totally captures the feeling of the sea spray that must have been all around you.
To add contrast and change levels will most certainly destroy the natural look of this, and will take away the impact of the superb perspective.

It really does look like a beautiful flower, and the lighting on this is just magical!

An excellent close up!
I'm pleased to hear there are still places in the north where the reds can still be seen.

It is a wonderful place and your use of B/W has added to the dramatic feel of this extraordinary landscape, I like it very much!

An excellent view of 'The Indian'....we can see part of this rock (a different angle) from our roof terrace!
I like the tones and the feel of this shot, very peaceful and lots of splendid details to see also.

It's the first time I've seen B/W cattle while we have been here!

Thank you Rose, here in Spain the light is exceptional on a sunny day, but still good on a dull one!

Nice to see your work again Harry!

Though the image could be a little sharper and the colour more natural you did extremely well to capture the depth of the drop from this bridge, something that is not always easy from your viewing point here.
It's an amazing place,id you walk down to the bottom and look back up?

I live here in Spain now near Alora....next time you visit let me know. :)

They are very lovely, but I think I will have to wait until next year now...... It's way too hot to be walking in the Torcal. :)

Me too Shirley, all thanks to Microsoft and their Service Pack 3. It's taken a month of sorting out the mess and I've just been off-line for the last week. :(

You nailed it with this one AJ. :)

Just remebered that I didn't let you know that we finally made it to Spain. We have bought a house near Alora on the road to El-Chorro. We are loving every minute of life here!

Yes I will do Tony. We stopped to look at the castle and I thought about you then, but had no way of contacting you to say we were there.
I've just now found your phone number again...I'll put it in my mobile.

Your right about the roadside sales, they did used to be everywhere. Times here are changing!

Thanks for the advice Tony, though this was the effect I was after.
Over the last thirty years I have taken photos of this spot many times, when doing so I have always found that without the haze these hills and mountains tend to dominate the shot.

Strange about the postcards.....I have never seen any of this place either. I'm right on the tourist trail to El-Chorro,they have to pass my house.... perhaps I should sell some on the roadside.

The lighting on this is very beautiful Tony.
I was walking in the Torcal last week and took a photo of this same rock formation from almost the same angle. Mine was in daylight and doesn't look half as pretty as this does.

I'm so glad I told you where these were Tony, you even picked the same spot as I did. :)
We live just a little further down the valley near the next Ave bridge which we can see from our roof terrace.

Excellent lines and PhotoShop work!

Thank you Shirley.
We have now bought our house here in Spain and I've at last got my Internet connection.
Once I've sorted out the mess that installing Windows XP service pack 3 on my computer has made.....I may then have the time to post more photo's.

Hi Tony,
I thought they were a little early too!
These were taken at Estación de Bobadilla on Wednesday this week, there are quite a few fields full of them there.
On the way home we also found fields blood red with poppies, John was driving though and wouldn't pull over for me to take some shots.

Thank you Michele.
My donor status is way past it's sell by date..... we will just see how it goes, though my thoughts are the place needs an update and pretty soon too!

I'm so pleased you like this, they are such happy flowers and I love the colour. As you will know, we are living in Spain now so there are lots of colourful things.....I'm in heaven!

Catch you later,
Meg.
