Forgot this Joe. Keep in mind that when shooting at f1.4 you are after a dreammy soft look, but the areas of attention -- the DOF is about 1/8 of an inch. In this case his eyes. Thanks again for your feedback and edit.

Thank you for the feed back, it does have more punch but his eyes are too saturated. This is a VERY difficult subject to expose. Besides being all white. His coat is really fine. Finer than a cotton ball. Check my other portraits of him and you will see what I mean -- the lighting is key. I learned the definiton of "how to expose" with him :) and still learning...:)

Very good shot. Since you have asked for input, I feel that you could improve this shot by some pp work to bring out detail in the coat and give it more punch. I used PS Elements 5 to recover some detail in the bright areas, then I gave it more impact by increasing the contrast and decreasing the brightness a bit. Here is my version.

Rainbow lorikeets are my favourite birds. Was priviledged to share many years with a hand raised lori who loved to dance around with a yogurt container on its head, and wrapped itself in a towel to sleep.

Global warming has brought a flock to our apple tree the past 2 years. My family has lived in this area for 6 generations and this is the first time we have seen them this far inland.

Their plummage is stunning and they are so active they are all but impossible to clearly capture. Well done sir, though I think the saturation is just a little strong. Beautiful. CC
