Very nice light. The shelf really competes for my attention. Nice pose and angle. I'm not crazy about the blur.

Very nice Bob. Have you tried a rightside crop to a square format?

I shot this same area a couple of years ago. Love this building at night.

Gotta love San Diego at night. Was this taken from Coronado?

In my opinion, this needs to be cropped. You could crop about 1/3 from the left and this would be a much nicer moment captured.

Douglas,

This is Bombay Beach on the east shore about halfway down the sea. It's about 20 miles north of Niland.

Hi Ron...

I love this. Nice use of perspective. I wish I would have thought a shot like this when I was at the Kennedy Space Center.

Nice to see that you're still posting. I always enjoy your stuff.

Very nice. Good choice of toning adds to the delicasy of the tulips. BW flower shots are the best.

Eric,

I disagree with having the guy off center. I like this alot. The balance between the simple objects, the circle and the veritcle pole, works for me.

If anything, I would crop the bottom a tad to get rid of the grey area but not too far as to not have a place for the pole to end.

Well done Aris.

David,

I understand. It's always interesting how people see the same image differently. Cheers.

If this were my image, I would crop the right side to where the big building ends so that the roof line ends at the edge. I love your version also.

I was going to comment on how nice this image was from a 10D, but then I saw that the camera is a 1D, so nevermind....

Tripod! There's movement evident. When you shoot at night you HAVE to use a tripod. I love the Star of India and need to go down and shoot it myself. I would have used a wider lens or backed up. There's not a lot of room because of Harbor Drive so this maybe a far back as you could safely go.

This looks a little over exposed. You also what to bracket your exposures. Shoot one at 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec..and so on.

For a handheld shot, not bad.

Very pretty. I love it up there. Since the sky is empty, you may want to crop the top down to near the mountain on the right.
