To be honest, I miss such views, too! Today all the snow has melted, so it's dark and grey here as well...
As for the shot - I couldn't have stepped aside, the wind was too strong - had to hold on to my car! lol
look at the snowfall on the picture, that will give you the idea of what the weather was like... ;-)
I hope you are enjoying your Xmas in Spain!

Ha ha! Reminds me what I'm missing! Though to be honest, a little snow would probably be preferable to the grey wet weather here in Tarifa.
Lovely shot - those trees are just so typical of the Polish landscape. I would perhaps have stepped a little to one side so as not to have had the track so full-on in the centre.
