Thank you Melisa for going back through my pictures, and for taking the time to look and write comments! I think you read this right, I was dreaming of the nice sunny weather - the transition from the grungy brick to a dreamy palm tree. I hope you don't mind me answering in a single reply, I assume you are busy with being featured and I didn't want to reply individually. Re: finding more people, I would love to as well, people are the most interesting subject, but I need to get more courage to take people pictures!

Very creative mixture. I love all the textures and vivid colors of your pics! The brick area on the right reminds me of the hard life of the homeless who are dreaming about the palm trees and luxury that surrounds CA while they are feeling isolated. Well done

Thank you Gyuri, I'm starting to enjoy my graphic tablet, and this is one of the uses - the pen for handwriting. It is not easy, the pen jumps a lot, and it's hard to see where you put it, it took several attempts :)

Another very successful collage, Ina, with very good explanation (indeed you do not leave much room for interpretation). I like the perfect transitions (I wish I could create such creative layers) as well as the overall effect, a constant and tricky shift between dream and reality. It is interesting to couple it with your first California Dreamin' which represents a completely different technique and concept. The scribbling perfectly fits the image, it is also visually very pleasant (you have a fine handwriting). Congratulations: Gyuri

Thank you so much Ann for venturing into this "dream", I love your interpretation of rush, got-to-go, fleeting thoughts of palm trees, it's so great for me to hear what you read into it, beyond what's actually there! It makes me really happy to hear your thoughts on it, as always, great comment! Thank you :) Ina

Thanks Andrzej for your unique interpretation, I love the ideas of flying red eye, and receipts and bills, and color reversals, great interpretation! Wonderful insightful comment! Best regards, Ina

Thanks very much for commenting on this "heavy" piece Bob! I guess you are in California, so you're not really dreaming about it, but for someone who travels thousands of miles to get there and see the sunshine and the sights, it is very different :) Best regards, Ina

Thank you very much Gabriela! I'm so happy you understand it - "we have little time to dream" - how true! Wonderful interpretation, I'm amazed how you see into this! I wasn't sure why the reality part was larger than the dream part, I didn't know why I made this way, just my intuition, but your interpretation is fantastic! Love, Ina

EXCELLENT WORK!!! It's a great collage, one cannnot see the passage from one photo to the other, I'd say "the photos eat into each other" well! Seamless! And the patterns, the passage from strong to mirific, from reality (which reigns on most of our days) to rosy dream (we have so little time to dream!) - I recognize the strength of your creative power! It's a UNIQUE work and you have my sincere compliments for it! Love from Gabriela

For sure Ina it's a dream vision. Often when flying back on red eye from LAX or SFO I have similar kind of vision, color swapping, reversed colors, shilouettes of bridges, architecture landmarks, palms, desert trees, beaches, grassy hills, bills and receits, and often quite a bit of business nightmares too. Lucky you have none of the business disrupt in your dreems.
Sure it is interesting collage, the intriguing and inspiring one. Lovely job Ina, Cheers, n.j

Busy and hectic is what I see here. Gotta rush. Have a plane to catch *le puff le pant* (I recognized the airport codes - hehe). Hope I didn't forget anything (the past revisited in thought here?). ---> looking forward - Sure hope it's like what I envision (tropical palm trees - artsy murals). Most of my dreams are in full blazing colour so I'm guessing this is part of the dreamy effect perhaps. I like it Ina. Very thoughtful and creative.
Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks Mohamed, I really appreciate you taking an interest in my work. I am trying from time to time to revise my interest in photography, and find a direction or a style or some continuity that I can call my own. This involves experimenting, and sometimes failing, but it is a learning process, and this is what you're seeing here :) Thanks for coming back and for your nice feedback! Best regards, Ina

Hi Hugo, you always hit it right on the mark. As with my previous collage (the Chrysler Building) where you mentioned the hard edge between images, I used your remark and ripped the edges in this one. So, the other idea of why go from wide really to narrow dream as opposed to making the dream part larger, you really made me think on this one! Hmmm... very good point. I don't have a good answer for that, it was an unconscious decision. Very good points, I really appreciate your input, and I'm learning a lot :) Best regards, and thanks, Ina

Hi Mohamed, I truly appreciate your honesty, it's a different "look" - the urban grunge - I'm not trying to make an excuse, it is crowded and messy, I wanted it not to be "beautiful" - it's a conscious departure from the established rules of composition and esthetics. I'm interested in finding my own style :) Best regards, Ina

Hi Ina, unrivalled collage, and a very interesting about. Why do you make the connection from reality and large to narrow and dream? I would say, that there's no limit to dreams, and could therefor be seen as "an umbrella" image... Our reality is only very minute, as it's bound by reason. I think your imagination does create some allowance, though...:)
Only nitpicking on way too subjective matters, though. I really like the creativity and the way you illustrated the feel. Very impressive.
Cheers,
Hugo
