That's a cool one too Pat! You have so much to photograph in your own front yard...thanks for sharing! Susie

Hi Susie, here is one with the whole shadow in it just for you :) I think the reason it was blurry is I was hand holding the camera and it was maxed out on the 100-400 zoom, the camera speed was 1/2000, I probably should have set the ISO to 200 instead of 100 to let more light in. I saw the horses racing around the front yard and didn't take the time to grab the tripod :( Thanks, I appreciate your comments. Pat

I like the idea of this shot Pat. Especially the long shadow. It would be fun to try to get the whole shadow in the shot. Great composition and timing on the shot too. I really like the subject matter (Magic is SO pretty) it just looks a tiny bit blurry to me. Maybe just a faster shutter speed would help. What settings are you using on your camera? Susie

Hi Pat. Good capture, composiion and movement. It does justice to the animal, very elegant pose, and shot at the exact right time. Technically, I think this photo could be improved upon; like Dave says, it's a bit soft, and not well in focus, so it seems (motion blur due to panning is probably the better phrasing) Nonetheless an eyecatcher.
Cheers,
Hugo

Nice action shot, Pat, and you caught a great shadow, too! The shots just a little soft, though. Dave.
