Thia is a great collection, Chris, and I wish you luck with the promotion.
The heliocopter shots must have been fun. I enjoyed Newport from the ground last fall. I posted one of my shots from Cliff Walk.
Cheers, Leora

I consider a polarizer to be an essential filter for dSLRs.
When shooting in conditions where you have moderatly blue skies w/ white clouds (or w/o clouds), the polarizer will deepend the color of the blue and add saturation to the blue colors of the sky. It will not effect the coluds, but will perfectly darken the blue sky around the clouds.
A polarizer will remove excess color highlights and reflections, when you shoot at 90 degrees from the source of light.
A polarizer will also add abit more color saturation overall to your images.
The downside is that you lose two stops by attaching the dark black filter over your lens. If a scene without the filter could be shot at 1/100th @ f/8, w/ the polarizer it will be 1/60th @ f/8 to acheive the same exposure.
Most of the images in my portfolio were shot using a circ. polarizer. Have a look and if you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask /// Chris

Fantastic Composition... Could you please told me what result can I have using a polarizer lens? Will it reduce the sky fog appearance? Regards Flávio Borges

Thanks Randee, we get about 100,000 visitors every summer... it's worth a look into! Try searching Newport, RI on google.
