About the autograph...I just want it before you become a rich and famous photographer...I can say,(in my best Barney Fife imitation, complete with thumbs hooked in my belt) "Yep, (sniff) personal friend of mine".

Thanks Jessie . . . the columns are wavy because only the bottom left corner of the shot is the original image. It was shot with a very wide, fish-eye lens . . . like the shots I used for the Palace of Fine Arts earlier. I thought the shot had potential in this case as photo art - but only that way . . . (The original is shown earlier in the comment thread). I liked it . . . but it could NOT stand alone (IMO) . . . and did make an interesting artistic statement and presentation. The curves are from the lens and the distortion is magnified since it was flipped more than once. Thanks for commenting and for the great question!!

Dear eeehm Dolly:-))) Sorry, I saw that and couldn´t help but mention it! I love this one. I really do! The combination of art, architecture and philosophy goes right into my heart. It looks like time is being continued in a neverending spand due to the flipping of images, the touch of the old Roman empire and the cracks from the one column that is repeated in the next one. Well done, Doyle! Best wishes, Annemette

Humble is my middle name Doyle...my Mom thought it went well with Robin. I have three programs, but I usually use PS Elements 4.0. Not the greatest, but for a beginner like me, it works...for now. BTW, the more I look at the original the more I like it, no love it!...so many tiny details in the background, beautiful tones, and so perfectly composed! Forget I said ANYTHING about a paint effect. Take care...R.H.
ps...inclined to give it to me?...can you autograph it first?

Doyle, Doyle, Doyle.!!!
I find myself viewing this image over and over again. I Love everything about it. One day, I am going to put on my Big Boy pants and learn to produce high quality images like yours, Shirleys and Mary Slades.
Your work never ceases(typo?) to amaze me. It is very refreshing to find a photographer who has a WOW factor. Thank you for all of your up-loads and allowing to see inside the Mind of a Genius( your words ) lol
Keep the good work coming my friend and I hope all is well with you and yours!

Wow Michele . . . I'm very pleased with your comment! Thank God for the ocassional blabber-mouth (your words, not mine). I couldn't have been placed in better company in that comment! Now, THEY might hunt you down with sticks (LoL!) after placing me in their class . . . but I'll bask in the thought for now anyway!! LoL! Of course, sheer vanity forces me to consider us like a pyramid . . . with me JUST a hair higher on the food chain!! :P Maybe it's the testosterone!! Or old fashioned sexism! LoL! Think I've gotten myself in enough trouble now . . . can't have a great student like you in trouble alone. Friends bail you out . . . Good friends sit in the cell with you saying "Man, that was fun!"
By the way, welcome to Jr. High (at least)!

Very interesting . I like it . You have much artistic talent inside that educational brain my friend. I like how you express your-self both in words and art... You are a combination of Shirley and Mary !! LOL ! You are all 3 very talented... and Shirley and Mary might even agree to a point?? I mean this as a compliment to all 3 of your individual styles of working...maybe I shouldn't have written it, and if I have offended any of you I appologize here and now. I am in elementary school (level) of learning while you guys are in high school or graduated ... so forgive me please as I learn, and tell me not to say 'everything ' I think if it bothers anyone in anyway . Please ?
Blabber-mouth Michele~

Thanks for the comment Renato! I agree with you very much about not having the inside line dividing the two . . . and that was what I had done originally . . . but it just didn't work. A closer look at the central pillar will make it obvious what happened......the curvature was such that when they were placed adjacent without a divider there was an extremely awkward angle and a pinched look from the seam which could not be hidden.
Thanks for the comments Renato!

Ok Robin . . . . "Artsy-Fartsy" . . . Moi? Pretentious maybe . . . ( sip of Brandy ) . . . but not artsy-fartsy. I prefer the term "Genius, with a highly skilled talent for creative endeavors" . . . but that's just me! LoL! ;)
Thanks (as always) for your comments . . . and I have attached the original per your request.

Hello Dolly,
I liked very much this photo creation; it interesting the idea that the present time can be one remembered as an old picture. Time goes by. Well done!
One little thing… I guess you should try to the same composition but not use an inside frame dividing the today and the tomorrow. Just my opinion.
And well done to remember Shirley. Everyday, our senses are bombarded (in a good manner of course) and inspired with her amazing creations.
Wishing you all the best, Renato
