Old houses and shed are always interesting ..trying to imagine what or who once used or lived there..or is it the inquistive child in us all who want to go in see what treasures lay inside and play out owm stories like we did with friends when we were kids ..like the feeling of a hot lazy day through the sunlight too..nessa

Hello Pablo ... thank You for your comment on my image.. You are right about it needing more contrast -- I forgot I had a filter on my lens that caused this... It's NOt really an American Dream !! Just teasing ...
Thank YOu once again.

Hi Jan-- You are right -- this is a shed-- not a house.. The house was looking like someonoe actually lkived in it ... but this shed painted to match the house looked like it had a story and a ghost or 2 -- lol !! Thank You for Your kind comment and interest :)
-Best Wishes,
Michele~

Oh dear Michele, you did not understand me cause of my short explanation. Forgive me.
I thought your dream because abandoned houses always have their own stories that we want to know about again and again ... so your dream in a way when you are dreaming about your warm, soft, nice moments from your past :) That was my point looking at your capture ... but only mine, sorry if I did something wrong...it was not on purpose !!!

Thank YOU dear Srna for the kind comment ..
I don't think this is anyones dream-- not as a goal at least --- but then also it is 4 walls and many don't have their own 4 walls.
It's not my dream tho -- It just caught my eye.

I had a filter on my camera lens which created the soft tones and it was kind of an accident- I forgot to take it off-- this may have been a better image with it off--- (?)

Anyway thank YOu so much for your time !!

Hugs,
Michele~

Hi Michele,
I think I understand the mood you are trying to create with this shot. I share your enthusiasm for the mystery and heavy aura surrounding abandoned buildings.
The chance you take by posting this one with a purposfully "washed out" look Is that many people will simply view it as a poorly exposed image.
I hope I'm not being too critical. Just telling it like I see it. What I would suggest doing with an image like this is go even further "over the top" with the presentation.
Maybe create an even softer pastel version, monotone - high contrast... something like that.

You might be interested in my "Photographer's Apprentice" series or some of my old abandoned farm vehicles.
Or maybe not :)

Michele - Interesting place but was this really a house? Perhaps a shed. And either way, abandoned buildings always have stories (and sometimes ghosts) that we want to know about. I like your hazy rendition.

I like abandoned houses, too because thereīs always something mysterious about an old place that has been left for some strange reason.
Good title rather sarcastic in combination with this home showing that the so-called American dream sure isnīt for everybody.
Take care on this fine Saturday
