About My Friend Robbie ask me to take an image of my favorite flower using the macro lens - I took at least 20 shots of every kind of flower at work where my choices are not limited and had lots of trouble choosing--so this is not necessarily my favorite flower or shot-- but one of many .

This is for YOU Robbert Chin
I do hope You like it....

Mannual mode was the program altho I start with aperture prioriy, and took a few shots, the flowers were in the back of the van, with the van hatch back up- in the parking lot at the shop- I used a stable box as I did not have my tripod at work, and I did not use the self-timer since the shutter speed was fast enough, or so I thought. I pretty much do what you have suggested so you have not confused me Robbie- I am really happy you do like it :))
Thank You for all of your help my dear friend .
All the Best,
Michele~

Thank YOU Pradnya- Honestly-- I haven't used the macro -mode- as I've been trying to stick to mannual, or aperture/shutter priority - I am sure that it is , and I will be trying it soon-- maybe I would get a closer macro ? I appreciate your comment so much dear Pradnya.

What was the setup for this shot?Program used,
focusing,point of focus.
I don`t used MACRO for close up,the mode gives you a bigger f stop than I would like,I think you change the exposure settings but this is my preferred technique. This isn`t a knock on your technique only my way.If I am shooting a close up
this is what I would do.....
Lowest ISO,Aperture Priority, camera on tripod,
center spot focusing point,
Focus on the point of interest, set aperture which
I will change,if I am been picky SELF TIMER to minimize camera shake and blast away!
Shoot using different f stops and different point of focus and if you 'have difficulty in composing
after focusing just switch to 'manual focus'the switch is on the camera. The reason for different point of interest is you might want that point to be sharper.
When shooting landscape I focus at the nearest point and switch to 'manual focus' recompose and shoot.
Hope I don`t confuse you!!!
Nice job Michele and needless to say it`s going in my Favs!!!
After commenting last night I was off the computer.
Take care
Robbie

I may be slightly color blind, Michele, but I can see the vivid and wonderful colors in this macro. Well done. I like the way you balanced the visual elements; good composition and exposure and plenty of eye-pleasing detail.
--Best to you, Jan
