About The Siletz river bends at the spot in the road called Kernville which was created in the late 1970's for the movie stage 'Sometimes a great Notion' The stage house is still there, but not visable from this position, and there is a Moorage, and also a steak house- which is where I am right now - Making a delivery for a reservation at dinner tonight... This is a lovely view to eat dinner by as well as a handy place to stop in by boat......

Thank You dear Albert for your enthusiasm and kind words .... I know those power lines are everywhere.... Yep-- a good idea for me to learn to clone them away very soon.... You are not the only one that is distracted by them...lol!!!!

Warm greetz,

Woooooww dear Michele,

Fabulous riverview !
I like your choise of composition with this nice curve of the river. Your POV is great and offers a far distant view of this wonderful landscape.
Great work ! One minor detail, the electricity line (I think it is) horizontal in the upper part of the view is a bit disturbing. Maybe it's an idea to stamp it away with PS ?

Warm greetz & huuuggss..
Albert Jacobs :)

'The time you take with your comments,' as I beleive it is showing much RESPECT and I like to return it- PLUSSSSSSS --

~~GRIN~~... Know what you mean on the *about's*... Must admit, if the about is in a language I don't understand, I've copied and pasted it to the translater just, so I can see what the photographer felt or had in mind... LOL...

If someone has taken the time to write the information, then surely we owe that person the honour of reading it... and that is not meant to be self righteous either Michele ~~GRIN~~... The information there gives an idea *noise* or *angle* or *subject* or just plain thoughts on what the photo means to the photographer etc...:)))

The worlds cultures, customs and even the weather, are so diverse... It's great to understand and learn...:)))

I'll stop waffling now...:)))

Dear Onie..... I can't tell you how nice it is to now that the 'abouts' are actually read !
Mostly I know that they are-- but half the time either they can't be understood because of my lack of bi-linqual abilities...
or- they are over-looked (?)

I always enjoy them from others so I do try and You do make it all worth while my friend :))
Thank You for your wonderful comments !!!
Hugssssssss, Michele~

With a view like this, I bet reservations at the steak-house are hard to come by...:)))

A stunning visual Michele... and looks like pine plantations on the far ridge... Love the natural colours...:)))

Beautiful dear Lady...:))) and love the abouts you give... Our eyes then *see*...:)))

Oh yes, it really looks very good in the attached form!! I´m so happy that it worked out well, and that you can also see the improvement:)
Sometimes I forget to see what is important in a photo and forget to crop it, but the more times I´ve heard it, the more I think about it. So will you, I´m sure!
25 miles is a big radius! Nice for you to be able to explore like that and even get paid for doing so*LOL*
Take care and see u around
Annemette

Dear Annemette,

Yes, I do move around A LOT while delivering flowers--- I think my radius is 25 miles , N, So, and East !! It is nice for me- as this truely covers a wide range of different scenery :) I took yur idea of croping the sky to heart , and am adding it so you can see too- You've a great eye my friend I wish I would've done this in the first place as it would've solved the power lines, AND I think made a nicer image :)) Thank You for sharing your Great idea's - !!!! ohhhh and I understand about the UF repairs going on- no one was able to do anything last week-end:((
Just happy to hear from you whenever possible -
Best wishes,
Michele~

Dear MIchele
You sure move around a lot in your area while on work- so nice for you! It´s such a joy to know one´s area and also discover new interesting places:-)
The many poles immediately caught my attention. They make such a nice rythm in this landscape along the blue river.
The green trees on the right are so appealing to the eyes!
Maybe a tighter crop losing the sky would be good.
Sorry for not commenting, but I couldn´t enter any images last night:-(
Take care, my friend.
Annemette

Thanks for showing me Joe-- I am a bit resistant at times- until I can SEE the difference it truely makes...

Thank You dear Joe-- You have a way of mixing compliments with critiques that get my attention so I thank you for this :)) I know that details are very important.... and I promise not to ignore them sooooo much in the future. Also thank You for your offer of help- It's much appreciated... I was fearful of croping out too much of the sky but at second look it wouldn't be that much... Point made and taken-
I really do appreciate your great critiques, and interest in my work- You make it a lot more fun my well spoken friend !

All the Best,
Michele~

Hi Michele,
Beautiful landscape, excellent composition. I love the colour and brilliance of the water. The piling along both shorelines is a nice point of interest in the shot.
I wonder if the far hills would look sharper and less hazy if you had used a polarizing filter but you could very well prefer the way they look. I am well aware that the power line in the sky and the dead tree have been discussed already. I feel the line should be cropped out. It would not be difficult and your images are SO well seen and taken that these types of elements should be removed so as to not distract from their excellence. The tree is ok, I just wish that we could see where it is coming from. If you had just included just a bit more detail on the left side of the image I feel the tree would contribute to the composition. I suspect this is more than you wanted to hear but you know me. :)))) If you would like help with a detail like the power line in one of your shots, fell free to send it to me at brownj(at)ripnet.com and I will see what I can do.
All the best,
Joe

Hi Robbie,

I did see the power line accross the river but as many images as I took I could not get around it :(( I know that You must enlarge my images and go over them inch by inch (just kidding) sort of :))

One day I hope that the real things that are in the image will bother me enough to remove them- this is my 'wish'...... Oh ---- 'To make a better Image Result' ---

I am teasing with YOu but I do wish that these things bothered me more, or as much as YOU- then I could have better hopes of moving out of the amateur catagory I find myself in !

Thank You Robbie for Your helpful comments always and please don't take my kidding as anything but just that ? One day I will grow up and become soo serious and boring you won't like me anymore !!!

Best wishes,
michele~

I am happy to make You laugh Robbie ..... but I do have the feeling it is because I have said something rediculous----

In my crystal ball it spells the word . . . 'c lon e ' to me..haaa!!!

I thought about YOU saying that , or Doyle either one of you actually .
Take care as I approach the critique .....
