Hi Dirk, thanks so much. A friend and I went on a photo shoot that night for about 5 hours. The weather couldn't have been any better for us.

Very nice well balanced lighting and composition here, Daniel! But above all I find the fact amazing to keep the perspective so strong at that time of the day, whenthe darkness tends to make distances vanish due to the lack of visible leading lines. The contrasted poles againste the blueish background create a kind of implicit leading line here that allow me to see how far the boats are lying.
I would only wish a bit more contrast on the contours of the clouds but nonetheless they form one plane of reference for distance, the other one being the water with its transition from dark to all the great reflections at the depth.
Keep it up and all the best,
Nick

Hi Daniel,
The low point of view is great; as is the near perfect mirror; dividing the image pane into two. Nice shot, and well exposed.
Cheers,
Hugo

Thank you so much George for you kind words.
It was a difficult shot to take because I didn't have my tripod with me at all, so the camera was not completely stable as I had to prop it up to make it level.

I love this type of shot. When there is no breeze to ripple the water you get such wonderful reflections. I find that using a tripod and the self-timer on the camera work best for ensuring that the camera is absolutely still. I have encountered some problems with mirror "slap" at slow shutter speeds.
