I have a 20x24 canvas of this image shown here in the studio. I wouldn't trade it for nothing ;)
The background is one of my favorite backgrounds to use, in this type of sitting. If you look through some of my other images here, you'll see it from time to time.
The b/g is called Queen Ann. It's painted by David Maheu, and can be seen here

I like this pose and just the hint of a smile. This is about a close to a modern Mona Lisa as I've seen. It probably won't achive the popularity of Da Vinci's portrait but it has much the same feel. Maybe once you (and the rest of us) are long gone it'll fetch a handsome fee at some regal art auction. Oh well, we'll just enjoy it now for what it is without all the hype that fame would bring it.
I really like that background. Any info on it?

I really liked the colors in the dress and flowers. I wished I had time to work with her and her fella, but 20 minutes is all I had. Onur, I was wondering, can you explain more in detail about the bad poses you've seen?
I'me very interested in posing techniques, good and bad ones.

I admire your works. Every time a work of your catches my eye, I question myself what a professional and what a bad pose.
But actually on this one, you created Mona Lisa out of her. Color differences, shadows ... This is a over $1000 value; splendid portrait work.
