'Khayma' means tent in Arabic , and 'Khayameya' is an ancient Egyptian craft of making huge tent pavilions out of appliquéd cloth patterns.
The tent makers use the same technique in making very attractive cushion covers, bedspreads, table runners and wall hangings (like this one).
