About Das Jagdschloss des "Alten Fritz"
-Hunting Seat of the "Old Fritz"

"Königs Wusterhausen" was a usual meadow village and named, before
Friedrich William I. took it in possession, Wendisch Wusterhausen.
With 10 years (1698) Friedrich William had gotten the old castle
given by its parents. He likes the place more and more
and rebuild the castle 1717/1718 into a simple hunting seat.
which became the favourite residence of the king. The soldier king
created here his body guard \"long chap\" and organized in the hunting
seat its legendary \"Tabakskollequim\". That was a kind Schattenkabinet (shadow Cabinet) in
which one over crude jokes did not only amuse themselves, but also
make some important political decisions. In the Residence the king is to have signed also the death sentence Kattes, which help its son Friedrich also to the escape.
