Great shot! A lot of people seem to think that just throwing a fisheye lens on their camera makes every shot great and interesting, when they actually tend to look somewhat cliched. But this is one of the most dynamic fisheye shots I've seen, and it's no easy task to shoot the night sky. Great work!

What a difference having an unpolluted sky can make! One day I will drag my lazy self down to the southern hemisphere, up the mountains in the desert to see this!

Very nice work, here. The buildings add a neat element, and it looks like some of the domes were in use at the time, with a bit of motion blur. Well done!
Kim, I somehow don't think that is Polaris in the southern sky, as viewed from Chile, but you are close. {:-P
Great stuff, Uwe

Star trails have so much interest all on their own, but to add the architechture really makes this image unique. I like the fact that the northstar is dead centre in frame... for this kind of shot centring really works. Tell your friend this is a shot to be very proud of!

Tell your friend his shot is fantastic. One of the better star trails I have seen here. I hope he has a big copy above his bed so he can view it before he goes to sleep and when he wakes up. Simply stunning capture here.

Yes, this is a good shot and since his focus is on the sky, rather on purely photography, it adds an extra original dimension. Most of us shoot time exposures just straight up! This one has color, along with the background of clouds, and observatory buildings. Nice one

I expected to see your wonderful sun flower, so I'm disappointed now! Hihi... just joking! Tell your friend that there is a woman in Sweden who thinks his shot is fantastic! It's absolutely beautiful! The composition, the colours, the interesting mood... just so fantastic everything!
