Michaelle, I've added this to my favorites. What a lovely pastoral scene. I like the original best, to me it does add the vastness you mentioned. The tonal range is terrific.

Donna,
Fabulous, dahling, fabulous! :-)

I have incorporated your ideas in the attached image. The only thing that I am not so sure about is whether the cropped version still gives the sense of vastness to this valley.

As always, looking forward to your comments.

Hi Michaelle! I know you've been really busy with school and work, as have I. I haven't had time to visit usefilm much at all lately. Nice to see you've submitted something.
I like the scene a lot (did you dodge some of the hills?) - but I think the composition could be improved by cropping some off the top and possibly a bit off the right side. Would it be possible to burn in the tree line that runs across the top of the hill a bit?
I'm not sure why, but I don't think the upper portion of sort of indistinct trees adds to the image. Yikes, Michaelle - I hate to be so picky - but although I like the framing, it looks crooked to me - and akward across the top - barely showing up against the trees.
How did I do? ;o)

It's one of those that needs to be large to be fully appreciated. Somewhere in the south I imagine? A very lovely pastoral scene Michaelle, with nice lines, angles and tones.
