About I took these chaps in a beautiful public garden in the great little town (village?) of Dunster. I hope you like the treatment!
P.S. I'm getting a bit reluctant to put aperture and shutter speed settings as the list doesn't include many of the settings I use!! e.g. This one was actually taken at 1/800th of a second at f5!!

Very beautiful composition and I love the deep yellow colour tones! Also this effect you used is so beautiful! Makes the tulips look so soft, but not unsharp.

Do you know, Barry, I've been asking myself that question ever since I done it - more-or-less by accident. I think I probably duplicated the layer, (in Photoshop), put a heavy gausian blur (around 15-20 pixels) on the top layer, and then experimented with the blending modes until I got the effect I was after.
I hope this helps.
Regards, Chris

Lovely light and effect, Chris and very striking on the dark background. How did you get the lovely 'blur' effect. That's not the best description for it but I can't think of a better one!

Dear Chris, I like the way you composed these tulips - it's really beautiful. The softnes of the colors combined with the tulip-peaks is marvellous. Great work ;-)

Chris, I have been staring at this image for a good 5 minutes already - and the more I look, the more I see.

I am a plain kinda girl - I like to see the real thing. Abstracts don't normally appeal to me, neither does PS artwork. However, this image of yours have enough reality in it (for me, that is!) to make this a total prize-winner and an addition to my fav folder.

I like this a LOT! Your framing is done incredibly well and the end-product is a work of art. Well done!

Chris,
Beautiful Floral, a little different than your normal work. I like the yellows, they really stand out nicely with the dark background.
Wonderful Work!
