This is incredibly powerful. So much confusion, reminders of the harrowing events of 9/11 and then the heavy handed approach to free speech. There is real danger in these times of a breakdown of the very democractic ideals we so passionately believe in, and I am concerned that valid objection to Republican policies is being portrayed as unpatriotic.
This is not a political statement just an observation.
I like that the image confuses and begs questions about the clown and his motive. Great photojournalism.

That is great shape in the clown and impressive emotional empathy between these people.
