That's a difficult question you ask. Both are excellent. So maybe I can propose another suggestion: the little chappy colour isolated against a B&W background. In principal I like the colour version, but find the child lost against the background, so this might be the perfect compromise?

Hi Kamran,
As I told you before, I like the colored version more then the B/W one.
It shows the wonderful tones of the Tarboush and the kid's complexion.
The DOF is excellent.
Bye,
Khaled.

Very nice portrait. I like his expression and his hat does match his cheeks. Great job! There is a stick in the background near his left cheek. It keeps pulling my eyes away I would darken it a little.

I love the color of this one. I think the hat is such a great tone - his skin is amazing and his face is so sweet - yeah, I think I love the color version best.

Technically the color shot is better. As for impact black and white is usually a better medium. After a little manipulation, this is your black and white version. Hope you don't mind.

Hi, Kamran,
Well, I prefer the pict in color.
(I wonder how it would be a place with kids from diferent languagens kidding. I think they would find a commom language. A child expression is the same everywhere.)

Deb Mayes   {K:19605} 1/12/2005
Ah, decisions ... I love both versions, Kamran, although this one really brings out the child's delicate coloring. :)

A beautiful portrait, Kamran! I like the rich colours here. The b/w was good, but I think the colour really enhances the detail in this image.
Dave.
