Hi Mark. It's been an evolution over the past year. I began creating collages out of an inherited photo collection, old letters, stamps, and images from old books. I eventually stopped using ephemera and began combining elements from my own photography and antique images. I guess my inspiration is going towards process now, but it is a world unto itself here in my studio and I thought it would be exciting to explore it. I love signs of decay or signs of the passage of time. mold, stains, scratches, cracks etc. They seem to have a story all themselves. I love implying context too. I haven't posted any of my emphemera collages as I don't think usefilm is the right forum. Anyway, thanks for asking. David

Hi David
It's great to hear from you again.
I love this new series you have going. It seems like a great departure from your previous work in both content and style.
I love the combination of elements you choose there is so much going on with different elements revealing themselves on different levels.
I don't want to know your process that's like asking what camera do you use but I would like to know what the inspiration is behind these images.
Cheers Mark
