Thanks Jimmy... He was listening to some sort of "prey" below him, and as long as I only moved a foot or two every 5-10 min, he allowed me to get within about 20 yards. Finally he flew by me at about 5 yards, found another tree, and the other shots in my portfolio resulted. The entire process lasted 30-40 min. Pretty neat experience.

Superb shot, Kerry. The wide opened aperture sets him apart from his surroundings. How did you manage to sneak up close enough to get these shots.

Like I said before, I just liked the way he fit into the scenery in the last one, but there is no doubt he stands out beautifully on his own... I just hadn't gotten around to posting this one yet. It's good to see the way others view your pic's. And, some beautiful flora/fauna captures of your own!!
