About This falcon was brought to the sanctuary, it is suspected he fell out of his nest as was still very young. Louw ( his keeper) has hand reared him and prepared him he will soon be released back into the wild. There are wonderful success stories as well as tradgedies.

Alison I found this in the web
(Falco tinnunculus)
The European Kestrel is natural of the Old World. Their distribution understands Europe, Asia and África. He also inhabits the British Islands, the Islands Canaries, in Japan and in the islands Philippines. Some arrive to the islands Aleutians to the south of Alaska. He has been seen in British Columbia to the west of Canada and in the counties and states of the coast of Atlantic of Canada and north of United States.

But if you can, please, ask to the guy of your pic maybe i'm wrong :(
