Hi Linda - thanks for the comments. Appreciate the tip - but out of all the pictures I took - I kinda liked the perspective fall off towards the bottom. (I was wondering if anyone would comment actually)
I have some less distorted pix of this little one elsewhere in portfolio if you care to hunt them out :) I may even post one of the others I took with this one if the mood takes me...
Thank you for your input my friend!
All the best
Steve

Good close up and personal shot Steve, not sure the perspective does this precious little one justice though...I think a portrait lens would have eliminated the distortion here....:):)Linda

Hi Lily - she's definately a girl - but I can never tell with babies either!
Thanks for the tip... I have used a sheet of paper before now as a diffuser... but this was a very quick snapshot. considering the location - the kleenex tip would have been very useful!
- this was with the on-camera flash - waiting to maybe have my father in law pick me us a nice new flash unit whilst he is in the US at the minute :) (photograpic equipment is sooo expensive in NZ)
Thanks Lily!

I was sure Mia was a boy! :-) She has beautiful eyes. There's a small hot spot on her forehead. Try a kleenex over the flash?
