yes you right, I had a 1.4 ef II L series extendor on it, and I have cropped it a tiny bit aswell. good spotting.

You can't get that close to surf with a 70-200mm lens - surely!?
Is it a crop, are you in the water, is the break V close to the beach or is the lens incorrect?
