Lorraine Looks like you don't need any tips - fantastic first attempt. My partner Den Thompson has the big lens too, and likes wildlife captures. I have the tamron macro lens so between us we try cover everything. I am not technically minded - a bit 'point, shoot and hope' but improving, he is much more technically aware. A first attempt! Brilliant.
Your fine use of depth of field, has focused the attention on this lovely little character. His attentive head is turned to watch for predators. You captured this beautifully. I also like the crop, which shows the base of the peanut feeder and gives an indication of the birdie's size.
I'm putting this in my favs. Lorraine. A 7.
